Oh Canada! A Sesquicentennial Spring Celebration with Greenwood Singers. All Saints' Anglican Cathedral Friday April 7,2017

Greenwood Singers celebrate Canada’s 150th Anniversary and the arrival of spring with Oh Canada! A Sesquicentennial Spring Celebration. The program will feature the music of Canadian composers, Healey Willan (Rise Up, My Love, My Fair One), Ronald Hannah (Song of Weeds) and Stephen Chatman (An Elizabethan Spring) and arrangements of Canadian folk songs by Canadian composers, Keith Bissell, Harry Somers, and Donald Patriquin. The concert will include three madrigals for the coming of spring by the Elizabethan composer, Thomas Weelkes, and will close with selections from the iconic Canadian musical, Anne of Green Gables.
